When a unit becomes available, the current member ("owner") has an option to list it with a realtor or to have the cooperative sell the unit. If a realtor is representing the unit, a link to their website will allow you to see photos. If the cooperative is selling the unit, then photos will be posted. You do not have to have a realtor represent you to view or purchase a unit. Because we are a cooperative, the transaction is handled by our Community Manager and Board of Directors.
Members can make changes to the unit interior by submitting a form explaining their plans, which is then reviewed by the Board of Directors. Many members have painted the walls, installed cabinet hardware, added ceiling fans, and customized the kitchen with tile backsplashes.
Note about real estate website listings: The monthly amounts shown are inaccurate.
If you are interested in living at Village Cooperative of Puyallup, but are not yet ready to move or do not find any available units appealing, you can join the "Wait List". By making a $500 deposit, you will be notified immediately when any unit becomes available. (The deposit is fully refundable at any time.)
The unit must be occupied by the member.
At least one member ("owner") must be at least 62 years.
Just like applying for a mortgage, potential members must financially qualify and provide necessary documentation.
$2000 earnest money is required
